Dance of the High Plains
Composed by Leo Brouwer (b. 1931) in 1962 under the title Danza del altiplano and based on a Bolivian folk song, this is my cinematic music video and performance of this Latin American piece. Composed by Agustín Barrios (1885-1944) and published as "Julia Florida" in 1938, it is performed here for the first time on the amplified steel-string guitar by Allen Michael.

written by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959) in 1940 and originally published in Five Preludes as “Prelude No. 4 in E Minor.”
