The Allen michael Project

A champion of Classical music in the Post-modern era

The Allen Michael Project is the culmination of everything I know and love in the world of music and guitar. I have spent the last five years studying everything I could with regards to music history, theory, ear training, arranging, conducting, composing, pedagogy, counterpoint, voice-leading and instrumental technique. This is the result:

The purpose of this group is to bring the greatest works of "classical" or "Western art" music into modern venues and modern ears. By performing on electric instruments, we can reach people where they go to have fun: bars and clubs. We are departing radically from standard performance practice, but, in a roundabout way, are more true to the social function of Classical-era music, a time when people actually had fun listening to this stuff!

This project is funded in part by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
